As a senior in 4-H and candidate for Utah 4-H state ambassador, Danika Nageli created a database of service opportunities around the Salt Lake Valley. She personally attended some of the opportunities listed. Last September she picked apples at This is The Place Monument and delivered them to the refugee apartments in Salt Lake where she saw the need for fresh fruit in person. In November she made breakfast for the inhabitants at the Ronald McDonald House, where she had the good fortune of making life-long friends. With her club, she collected pop-tops for the Ronald McDonald House. Did you know that pop-tops bring in more money than the whole can? In December, with the help of her club, she made medical dolls for Primary Children's Hospital and most recently made 78 fleece blankets (with the help of community members, 4-H club members, and family) for Primary Children's Hospital.
Danika believes that through 4-H we make the best better. She is constantly looking for more service opportunities.
If you need help in getting started in a service project, you can use THIS list or contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
